This past Wednesday, May 10th, the LCHS senior class of 2017 took their class trip to the Kalahari Resort and Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. All students who are in good standing to graduate and had finished their portfolios on time were eligible to attend the trip. This year we had a great turnout with many students!
To begin the trip, students boarded two coach buses at 7:45 to start their trip. On the way down to the Kalahari students watched movies, sang to the radio, and socialized with their classmates. We arrived at the resort at roughly 10, where we then had until 3 pm to explore the Kalahari.
Many students chose to first go to the waterpark area of the resort where there were waterslides, a wave pool, hot tubs, a surfing area, and so much more. A fan favorite of the trip was watching each other attempt the surfing area and laughing at all of the funny wipeouts.
On the way out the door, a large group of students chose to get some ice cream to go before boarding the bus for the journey home. Because of the rain, the ride home took slightly longer than planned, making it 5:45 before we returned to the school. In all, the class trip was one to remember and a great way for the seniors to spend a fun day together before graduation.
